A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

When I am not actively painting I look for rest, renewal and inspiration. Examples are once a week I go to a friend's house, have a nice lunch and play cards with her and her husband outside on the patio by their pool and all their beautiful plants. Right now I'm in South Carolina with a friend who lives in the beautiful country along a lake. She is taking me to art galleries and on the rides and at the art galleries, with the beautiful landscaping, I find inspiration.

2. Why do you make art?

I make art because it's welled up inside of me and must come out. I want to express my creativity and to bring happiness to those who purchased my paintings and to touch their souls.

3. What inspires you?

Mostly I find inspiration in nature. Shapes, colors and texture.

4. What/who are your influences?

Van Gogh, Cezanne, Degas, Monet. They're all my influences. I love expressionism, the play of light upon the waters and texture with bold strokes.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

If I could meet anybody it would be Michelangelo because of his spiritual touch to his paintings. Botticelli for his painting of Venus, & Davinci - Painting, drawing, sculpting, science, engineering, architecture, anatomy.
